What you share with ♡ is yours. We never sell your data, never share your conversations with advertisers, and never use what you tell ♡ for anything except being ♡ for you. This page explains exactly what is stored, where, and why, in plain words.
Anonymous conversations are kept only in your own browser (local storage on your device) so they can survive a page refresh or sign-in. They are not saved to our database. Clear your browser data and they are gone.
To generate ♡'s replies, your messages are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude API) and pass through our hosting provider (Vercel). They act as processors for us and do not use your conversations to train their models under our API terms.
Signing in with Google or Apple shares your email address with us, nothing more. Your conversations are then saved securely (in our Supabase database) so you can return to them, and ♡ keeps gentle memories: small notes about facts you've shared, feelings you've named, and threads in your life, so that coming back feels like being known, not starting over.
Memories ♡ senses are especially personal are marked sensitive and handled with extra care. ♡ will never lead with them. Your data is protected by row-level security: your conversations and memories are readable by your account alone.
If ♡ detects signs of crisis and shows support resources, we keep a minimal internal record that this happened (as described in our Safety & Crisis Protocol). This exists to make ♡ safer and to meet our legal responsibilities, never for marketing.
We use PostHog analytics to understand things like "did someone's first conversation begin" and "did they come back": the signals that tell us ♡ is helping. To keep ♡ available for everyone, we also apply fair-use limits; for that, IP addresses are kept in short-lived technical logs that are deleted automatically within about two days.
You can delete individual conversations inside the app at any time. If you want your entire account (conversations, memories, everything) removed, email us and we will erase it within 14 days and confirm when it's done. You can also request a copy of your data.
♡ is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.
